The Pinckney Community School District uses a robust assessment system that collects data from local, state, and national assessments to make decisions. 

Each K-11 student participates in a Universal Screener each year in reading and math:

• K-5: AimsWeb+

• 6-11: NWEA

These results, along with other local assessments, provide the baseline data that classroom teachers, administrators, and support personal use to help all of our students reach their potential. Our district has developed a yearly assessment calendar for each school year outlining the dates of our district and state assessments. 

The State of Michigan uses a comprehensive system of assessments to measure student achievement and growth in our state standards. This system involves M-STEP, MI-ACCESS, PSAT 8, 9, 10, SAT 11, and WIDA.
