The Livingston County Health Department is pleased to offer no-cost Vision Screening For children entering kindergarten in fall 2023 Wednesday, March 1st, 2023 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Monday April 10th, 2023 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Come join us for a special adult evening being  held in person this year.  This is an excellent opportunity to learn about our Preschool, KinderReady and Kindergarten programs at Pinckney Community Schools. Parents will have time to ask questions, meet their child’s principal , and our teachers. Furthermore, we will provide enrollment assistance.  Both events will be held in person at each school.

Scholarship Application Criteria To qualify for a scholarship, the following criteria must be met:  1)  Advertise the foundation in the school newsletter (if there is one) or on school bulletin board.   a. This school field trip was funded by a grant offered by the Spirit of Alexandria Foundation, started in memory of Alexandria Bennett. The foundation's mission is Connecting Children to Nature. www.spiritofalexandria.org  b.	A Spirit of Alexandria Foundation is available to be used for required criteria. c.	Mail a copy of school newsletter to Spirit of Alexandria Foundation.  2)	Include the following information with a link on the school's website, in an appropriate location for a minimum of a year.    a. Spirit of Alexandria Foundation Connecting Children to Nature - www.spiritofalexandri a.org  3)	Provide a paragraph, photo or drawing from each child expressing what the Nature Bus visit meant to them. a.	The items provided will be used in The Amazing Newspaper, the foundations newsletter.   b.	A school name and teacher name will be used - only if parents give permission, will the child's first name be used with their submission. c.		A copy of the Amazing Newspaper can be downloaded from the Spirit of Alexandria website.
