In science, 4th grade students explored how plant and animal structures help an organism. Students recorded this learning process on a KLEWS chart (Know-Learn-Evidence-Wonder-Science vocabulary).
Craft for Kids
In Writer’s Workshop 5th grade some of our students wrote letters to the soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. The students wrote such thoughtful cards and drew Christmas drawings.
In art, students created and painted clay bowls.

Mrs. Griscom’s class engaged in literacy instruction including reviewing the meaning and use of morphemes (prefixes, suffixes, Latin and Greek base) and the strategy of repeated reading to gain a deeper comprehension of text.
Mrs. Kanerva class engaged in Makerspace activiites. Students explore and create a project through problem solving and planning using a variety of materials.
