Clarity Racing Team visits Navigator Elementary Students observed the components of the race car and shared their observations. Mrs. Patton shared the science involved in racing a stock car including the weight of the car, fire protection and how the tires sick to the roadway/racetrack. They learned about Bernoulli principal of when air or water going over a longer surface it moves faster and creates lift. This helps the car stay on the ground when going at high rates of speed by slowing the air going across the top of the car using the spoiler. Clarity also shared different careers related to automotive and racing.
