Dear Pathfinder Families,
As many of you know, severe weather moved through our area during today’s Back-to-School Bash, and we moved students and adults into our tornado shelter-in-place procedures.
Any time we have a real-world situation like this, it gives us an opportunity to look closely at our procedures and identify ways to improve. We learned things today that will help us strengthen how we prepare volunteers and communicate during severe weather events, particularly when our usual communication methods are limited and we are in an unstructured setting.
Our WEB leaders were absolute rock stars today. Under Ms. Dorosh’s leadership, they not only helped set up for a Bash that didn’t quite go as planned, but they also stepped up during an emergency and supported our volunteers and younger students. They showed the kind of leadership we hope to see from our students: calm, responsible, helpful, and ready to do what was needed.
Thank you for your patience and understanding this afternoon. We appreciate your trust and flexibility as we worked to respond to the weather and care for our students, staff, and volunteers.
Enjoy the long weekend!

WEB students, with the help of Gayle Hurn, help turned our outdoor eating space into an engaging student centered area.
Eighth grade WEB leaders created a fantastic experience for our upcoming sixth graders. Sixth graders learned all about Pathfinder and the new opportunities headed their way.
Today is the first day in our 8th grade's journey towards the wonderful PCHS. Parents and families should be looking out for a bright pink registration form.
Love is the theme today at Pathfinder! Breakfast is especially delicious and students came prepared to spread kindness and thoughtfulness to their friends.
The annual PTO snowball dance was a huge success! DJ Mr. Rice played amazing songs and fun was had by all. Root beer, floats, and pizza were popular treats!
Pathfinder staff surprised our 6, 7 and eighth graders on the 67th day of school. Staff greeted each other with an emphatic 6 7, wore 67 clothing and generally caused mischief. By the end of the day students had a petition to ban the 67 word with 67 signatures!
