It goes without saying that this year has brought significant changes and uncertainty to all of us. Dr. Sharon’s mid-year departure presents another challenge for us to come together, adapt, and move forward, which is precisely what we Pirates will do!
Mrs. Woods and I are excited to work together as co-principals to continue our forward progress. Mrs. Woods, as Principal of Student Services, will play to her strengths and passion for supporting students’ good decision-making both behaviorally and academically. As Principal, I am thrilled to expand upon my passion for supporting school improvement in a new capacity and to being a clear and ardent voice for PCHS. April and I happen to love working together, and we have a great and highly capable team around us, so while this may be a transitional moment, we are quite hopeful about the work ahead!
We are excited to build upon our efforts together over the last few years to ensure Pinckney students and staff see clearly how incredible they are, and that so too does the world. We love these kids! We are so incredibly proud of our students’ and staff’s resilience this year. Student and staff safety, connectedness, empowerment, and engagement will continue to be our priorities. We are committed to ensuring our students have a meaningful high school experience and that they are prepared for whatever it is they want to do after they walk that graduation stage.
April and I will be in communication with you weekly with relevant updates moving forward. We would also love to connect with students and parents/guardians more directly through a meet & greet this Thursday evening at 7:00 pm via Zoom. Join us for a casual conversation to learn more concretely about our roles and responsibilities, and to get your questions answered.
