Weekly Remote Learning Schedule

Dear PCHS Students, Families and Friends,

We’ve prepared for this moment. Please read below for details on how our remote learning will take place in line with the new Emergency Order under the Michigan Public Health Code (MCL 333.2253). Please be advised that this plan involves changes to our Pinckney Virtual Academy schedule as well.

While PCHS is learning remotely, all students will follow this Weekly Remote Learning Schedule. You will quickly notice that this will be different from our remote learning experience in the spring. Students will engage in live lessons Monday-Thursday, following their block schedule, and attendance will be taken each class period. A school-wide lunch break will take place between 12:10 and 12:40. Remote Fridays will remain as they have been this year.

If your student does not have access to a reliable internet connection, please fill out this form with your contact information by Friday, November 20. We are working on a plan to help provide wifi access during the school day.

If your student is receiving special education services, PCHS will be offering drop-in support hours. Look for a message with dates and hours of operation of those services.

Summary of changes for PVA students:

1. There will be a Zoom meeting at the start of every class Monday-Thursday. Our goal for this switch to virtual is to increase our emphasis on interactive instruction, active teaching, and making connections during lessons and while placing a smaller (yet still meaningful) emphasis on assignments.

2. All lunch breaks will be between 12:10-12:40. This means 3rd and 6th hours will be a solid block of time for all students.

Our Counselors and Student & Family Specialist will continue to be available from 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, for appointments, phone calls, and text messages. Please feel free to email them anytime:
